Principals of HR Today
Flo Barber
Flo has over 20 years of highly responsible human resources experience, plus 12 years experience in claims, litigation and compliance in areas including employment law. Most recently, she was Executive Vice President, Business Services, for Career Resources, Inc., where, in 1999, she started this division to deliver timely and responsive Human Resources consulting, training and staffing services to employers. Prior to CRI, Flo was Senior Director of Human Resources for Papa John’s, International and Director of several human resources functions for both Providian Corporation and Kentucky Fried Chicken Corporation. Her work experience includes staff management, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, staffing, policy development, project management, affirmative action plans, EEOC compliance, management and organizational development and succession planning, with either corporate-wide oversight or direct responsibility for territories with over 5,000 employees. Flo has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Louisville and is a certified Senior Professional of Human Resources.
Ruth has over 20 years of progressive
experience in business and Human Resources consulting,
programming and management. She has addressed
organizational needs and worked with all levels of employees
on issues such as reorganizations and reductions in
workforce, performance management, staffing and recruitment,
career counseling, employee opinion surveys, alternative
work arrangements, employee relations, and market pricing
and salary administration. She has significant experience
with the design, implementation and delivery of training
programs such as supervisor skills, behavior-based
interviewing, diversity awareness and management, sexual
harassment, and personal and career development. Ruth has
worked as Director of Business Services for Career
Resources; Director of Human Resources and Training Manager
for Providian Corporation, Training Consultant for SunTrust
Bank and also has experience with child care management and
mortgage and consumer lending. She has a Master of Business
Administration, Personnel Management emphasis, from Illinois
State University and a Bachelor of Business Administration
from Middle Tennessee State University.
